The Farm-Fresh Market is open year-round on Saturdays from 10am-1pm. The outdoor market is located at Litchfield Center School, and the indoor market is located at Litchfield Community Center, both easily accessible along Route 202 in Litchfield.
The LHFFM hosts 15+ vendors, farmers, bakers, artists, and makers from around the Northwest Corner.
The Farm-Fresh Market is a community based program focused on sustainable, local food systems that are respectful of the environment in which we exist. We contribute to broad community awareness that "local food is healthier food" which improves the economic viability of local and regional farms.
We recognize that even though residents in Northwest CT want to support local farms and buy farm-fresh food, they have trouble finding it. Farmers' markets are one of the best direct-marketing venues for farmers. Additionally, they are an integral part of building a local food system and a local economy capable of promoting sustainability and social engagement within the community.
Our principle goals are to connect environmentally responsible farmers with the people in their region, to achieve nutritional well-being in our communities, and to promote sustainable interaction with farm-fresh local foods.
